Howdy! My name is Chris, aka Sharky, and way back in 2016, I decided to create a YouTube gaming channel which was called "GameSharkHD". The channel was all about showcasing and playing games that I was enjoying at the time. I began with Minecraft, and GTA, but in 2017 I played a cozy farm RPG called Stardew Valley for the first ever time, and boy I was instantly hooked! This game reminded me so much of my childhood because I grew up playing similar games like Harvest Moon. I got so addicted, playing for hours on end daily. I gained so much knowledge of the game that I decided to create a YouTube video sharing some handy tips for new players to help get them started. Not many other creators was doing this so I wanted to change that by filling in that gap. My first Stardew Valley video wasn't great haha, it was my first attempt at creating a "big" style guide video, but suprisingly it actually blew up out of nowhere, the video was gaining traction and the views and subs came flying in, I was so taken back but I got so excited and inspired to create more Stardew Valley content, I wanted to ride the wave which led me to the wave I am surfing today. I have re-branded the channel since to "SharkyGames" and I have built up such a wonderful, cozy, kind, caring and passionate community over the last 7 years with now a whopping 150,000+ loyal subscriber count who all share the same love as me. It has been a long road to get here, filled with many highs and lows, but my journey has only just begun.
